Veteran actor Vinod Khanna breathed his last at 11:30 A.M in Mumbai. The actor who was once acknowledged as one of the most handsome heroes of his time passed away leaving millions of people in tears.
From past few months, his health had been a matter of concern for his family members. He was admitted to Suburban Hospital in Mumbai on 31st March 2017. The veteran actor was suffering from bladder Cancer. His family members never came up in open about his health. He himself told the media about Cancer.

A photo of the actor in which he was looking frail and weak also started doing rounds on the Internet. This caused distress among his fans. However, later his son Rahul Khanna told the media person that the actor was recovering. But today his condition escalated and the actor passed away.
“Doctors and family were expecting a recovery but somehow his condition escalated and he succumbed today afternoon,” a hospital source said.
The hospital released this statement after Vinod Khanna’s death, “Veteran actor and Member of Parliament Mr. Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma.”

Vinod Khanna made his debut in Bollywood in 1968 in Sunil Dutt’s film “Man Ka Meet”. He has done several superhit movies like Amar Akbar Anthony and The Burning Train. From then he went on to win many awards. In 2007 the actor bagged a Lifetime achievement award at the Zee Cine Awards.
He was last seen in Shahrukh Khan starrer Dilwale. The actor essayed the role of SRK’s father in the film.

In 1997, he joined politics and was one of the first actors who joined politics in 1997. Later he became an MP from Gurdaspur.
Khanna married his first wife Geetanjali in 1971. He had two sons, Rahul Khanna and Akshaye Khanna from his first marrige. His marriage came to an end 1985 and he married Kavita in 1990. He had two children, a daughter and a son from his second marriage.
