Amir Khan starer Dangal was based on a real life struggle of Olympic winner wrestler Geeta Phogat. Former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who is Geeta Phogat’s father helps her throughout her journey to reach the olympics. This movie earned US$211.5 million overseas.

2. Bahubali 2: The Conclusion


SS Rajamouli directed Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was the most awaited film. It stood by the expectations of the audience and earned a whopping amount of US$48 million.

3. PK


PK was a story of a boy from another planet who got stuck on Earth. He astonished everyone with his quirky questions. It earned US$47.7 million overseas.

4. Dhoom 3


Another movie starer Amir Khan made its way to top 10 highest paid movies. Dhoom 3 was a multi celeb film with Amir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. It earned  US$31 million overseas. 

5. Bajrangi Bhaijaan


Bajrangi Bhaijaan portrays a story of a young man who reunited a mute Pakistani girl with her family. Directed by Kabir Khan the movie earned US$29 million.

6. Dilwale


A treat for all the SRK and Kajol’s fan. After a long time, the duo was seen together and probably it was the reason why this movie made it to the top 10 list. It earned  US$27 million overseas.

 7. 3 Idiots


3 Idiots was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel 5 point someone. It was a story of 3 boys struggling in an engineering college. The movie earned US$26 million overseas.

8. Sultan


Directed by Ali Abbas Sultan was a story of a struggling wrestler. The movie which starred Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma earned US$24.38 million overseas.

9. My name is Khan


My name is Khan is yet another movie of SRK and Kajol which made it to this list. It earned US$23 million overseas. 

10. Chennai Express


Raees actor Shahrukh Khan played the role of a boy Rahul who himself entangled with Meena. Meena played by Deepika was the daughter of a don. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie earned US$19.32 million overseas.
