To get one was no less than an achievement. To retain customers, Mukesh Ambani extended the free services. However, the speed that was promised was never experienced by the users.

We have often heard people complaining about the poor speed of Reliance Jio. It’s been more than 6 months since the launch of Jio and the problem has not yet solved. That is why today we have come up to help you. Do you know that you can boost your internet speed by following some simple steps? Let’s have a look.

Before moving forward, it’s important to know few things about band. A band is a frequency at which a service provider offers connectivity.

Best speed: Band 40 > Band 3 > Band 5

Best coverage: Band 5 > Band 3 > Band 40.

So this means that one will get the best speed at band 40. However, the coverage will be poor at this bandwidth. Similarly, at band 5 the coverage will be the best but you would have to compromise with the speed.

So to get better speed these bands are need to be controlled. You can do this by following some simple steps. But do it at your own risk.

Method 1:

To increase speed,  Dial *#*#4636#*#*

Select phone information

Now select the option “Set preferred network type”

Here select LTE Only

For MediaTek processor

Install MTK Engineering Mode from Google play store

Once the app is installed run it

Select ‘MTK Settings’ > “bandMode”>Sim Slot> “LTE mode> Band 40 for best speed

Save settings & reboot mobile to activate changes

For Qualcomm processor

Install Shortcut Master (Lite) app

Go to Menu option and select Search

Type “Service Menu” or “Engineering Mode” and search

Change LTE bands

You can also follow these simple methods to increase speed

  •  Clear cache or clear the internal memory

Smartphones like Samsung On5 or J2 comes with low internal memory and therefore they easily get filled up resulting in a decrease of the speed. So try to clear up your internal memory and cache regularly.

  •  Restart your phone

In case of poor signals, restart your smartphone. Restarting phone is the most effective way at the time of no signal.
