Last heard, Kapil Sharma was dating an Indian lady. Now SpotboyE.com can tell you that there is a Firang in his life. No, the host of The Kapil Sharma Show has not gone the Salman Khan way. Firang is his next film.
The star comedian will produce and star in Firang, his second Bollywood outing.
Kapil had made his debut last year with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, opposite four actresses Elli Avram, Manjari Phadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokur.
This time around, he will only have one leading lady, Ishita Dutta.
The actress, who is the younger sister of former Miss India and actress Tanushree Dutta, played Ajay Devgn’s daughter in the film Drishyam.
The film which will possibly be a collaboration between Kapil and Sony (the channel which airs The Kapil Sharma Show), will be directed by Rajiv Dhingra.
Rajiv, who is a childhood friend of Kapil’s, had helmed the Punjabi film, Love Punjab, earlier.
Firang will kick off on November 25 in Punjab and the action will later move to Rajasthan.
But how will Kapil juggle the shoots with his comedy show?
A source tells us that Kapil and his cast and crew are working to create a bank of episodes so that he can make time for the film.
“Kapil has promised that he will come back to shoot the show in December if and when the need arises,” adds the source.
The film will be a period comedy.
Will Kapil’s Firang win over his fans? Time will tell.
