Divyanka Tripathi Aka Ishimaa Did This For 6 Months & Lost 10 Kgs

Divyanka Tripathi is one of the prettiest actresses of the Indian television. However,  two years back, her leg injury had put her in a wheelchair. Due to which she gained weight.

The “Ye Hai Mohabbatein” actress couldn’t even work out because of her injury and daily shooting schedules. However, the actress has been continuously working out since 6 months and is taking care of her diet.


She had participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye with her baliye Vivek Dahiya. The dancing helped her in the transformation.


Divyanka says, “I was already on a weight loss spree before Nach Baliye started as I had reincorporated regular exercising and healthy food habits into my daily routine. Dancing further helped me get on the right track as its a great form of exercise. I am happy about getting back into shape as it’s important not only as an actor but I also feel for a healthier life in the long run.”


Initially people thought that Divyanka and Vivek have survived on the show due to their popularity. But the couple worked hard and proved them wrong by bagging the Nach Baliye trophy.

Their win got mixed reaction by people. While their fans were extremely happy, others were claiming that the scores ha been rigged.


Divyanka indignantly says, “Why blame popularity votes? The show is based on popularity and audience voting. Everybody, every contestant and judge knows the format, so what is the fuss all about? Lots of people are speculating unnecessarily. It’s a fair game.”

She further adds, “And then, we were not just standing on stage; we were dancing and people did like our performances. It is a case of sour grapes.”
